Environmental, Social and Governance Policy
We, Demica, are committed to carrying out all of our activities in accordance with our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Policy which is the framework from which we make the decisions which impact our clients, stakeholders and communities.
We adhere to the following principles and promote their application:
- Environmental Policy:
We recognise that as an organisation we have a responsibility to the environment beyond legal requirements. We aim to reduce our impact on the environment by reducing the use of paper in our offices, minimising the waste of energy and water, optimising the consumption of office supplies, minimising business travel where possible and using sustainable cleaning materials in our facilities.
We abide by the principles of the UK’s Modern Slavery Act. Our employees’ labour rights are recognised and protected. We are committed to an inclusive culture of fairness and equal opportunity for all, where diverse views are encouraged.
- Anti-bribery and Corruption:
We have zero tolerance for dishonest or illegal activities within Demica. Our legal and compliance team constantly monitors all activities to ensure adherence to legislation and ethical practices.
- Health and Safety:
As a leading choice of employer, we prioritise our employees’ wellbeing. We strive to create a safe and healthy working environment, and everybody at Demica is responsible for maintaining and promoting such an environment.
- Governance and Oversight:
There is a system of internal controls in place within a framework overseen by the Board of Directors of the company. We only work with stakeholders that are engaged in activities which are not prohibited by applicable law or by the terms of our ESG Policy.
These principles guide our internal culture and shape the relationships with our customers and employees. We aim to be an example of integrity. Our goal is to be a reference company in our sector from an ESG perspective, and to do our part to advance in sustainable, long-term progress in our world.
